Celltrion reaches milestone on COVID-19 super antibody

Seo [Jung-Jin, Celltrion Chairman] said Celltrion has completed what it considers the “most difficult part” of the process, the construction of a 300-antibody library from blood samples collected from recovered patients.

According to Seo, Celltrion aims to develop a super antibody that will be able to “perfectly adapt to any mutations.” When asked how, he explained: “There is an average lag time of three months between the mutation and the production of a product that has adapted to the mutation. And we will adapt the product to the mutation within those three months.”
